Mother’s Kitchen – The place which would instantly enhance your Five senses. Our childhood school memories revolved around the Class period before Tiffin Break and after it.
The focus was always on what each of our friend’s Mother has prepared for our Tiffin. The moment we would enter home after school, our ears were eager to hear the sound of a Tadka being made or the Cooker’s whistle.
We would hustle up to the Kitchen, on the trail of some awesome smells deciphering what’s special today. The entry into the Kitchen is with a Wow, seeing some great dishes of myriad colours, laid out on the Slab.
Before we pounce on the dishes, we are admonished for not washing our hands. The warmth or the crispness or the right sponginess could be felt in each morsel we would hold in our hands. Finally our tongue would enjoy each flavor, be it Tangy, Sweet or Sour, like a devotee being offered by God.
Mother is the epitome of Care and Selflessness and the Kitchen her Sanctum sanctorum. The moment we talk about Mother’s Kitchen, it takes us down the memory lane.
The different recipes she prepared using those special Masalas hand pounded and blended in perfect proportions.
The accompaniments of yummy Chutney and Pickles she would so painstakingly make during the season with her unwritten Recipe standardization and the hygienic best practices adopted (passed over generations) and right, although traditional, packaging for longer shelf life storage.
Our Production, R & D, Packaging and Marketing team sat with my Mother to be guided by her immense knowledge of Food. At 78 she was not tired of all the queries from the team and diligently responded and resolved each one of them.
The last decade helped Mother’s Kitchen reach out to their Patrons globally through Supermarkets and Ethnic stores. Our presence is appreciated by consumers across North America, Europe, Middle East and Far East regions.
We are now geared up for the Indian market with a Product matrix, which can excite our palates for experimenting with different flavours and fusion of cuisines with a difference in packaging which gives it an upper edge against competing brands and maintaining the authenticity of taste.
This Mother’s Kitchen is completely dedicated to my Mother and to all the Mother’s around the world who taught us how to understand and appreciate Food in totality.
Every appreciation and applause will add on the Smilies in her life and every feedback and suggestion will help to hone up her skills even at this age. Believe me, she will appreciate it. Salutations to you Mom, Mummy, Ma, Mother.
